In the opposite direction, just five minutes away is the historical town of Berwick- Upon -Tweed where there are a variety of shops & beautiful scenic walks along the splendid town walls. In the summer of 2007 The Rob Roy was extensively refurbished to a very high standard by the present owners Linda & Ian who have had years experience in the hospitality trade. The Rob Roy has a fully licensed Bar Lounge, with real ales on offer along with a good selection of wines. Non residents are most welcome. Spoil yourself in our Harbour Lights Restaurant wind down after a busy day, delicious evening meals on offer, with local produce used where possible. Restaurant opening times 6.30 - 8.00 Tuesday - Saturday. Please note the restaurant will be closed on a Sunday and Monday evenings. Stay for a break in one of our tastefully decorated, en-suite bedrooms. All of our rooms are equipped with tea making facilities, TV/DVD players alarm clocks and hairdryers. The Old School is the oldest property in the village of Scremerston, 3 miles south of Berwick-upon-Tweed and five minutes from the delightful Northumberland coast. This stylish and comfortable bed & breakfast is easy to reach by car, just two minutes off the A1 half-way between Newcastle and Edinburgh, both 60 miles away. Berwick-upon-Tweed, with its shopping, pubs and restaurants is just three miles north. Guests can be collected from - and returned to! - Berwick station, with its fast links to London and Scotland. Breakfast is served in the old school hall, now tastefully restored as an impressive guest lounge and games area. If weather allows breakfast can be taken on the south-facing patio in the gardens. Holy Island is a 15 minute drive away (tide tables available!), just north of the impressive castles of Bamburgh and Dunstanburgh. Alnwick, home of the famous gardens, is a half-hour drive. Venture further afield to Newcastle or Edinburgh both 60 miles on the A1 and 45 minutes by train from Berwick.

Raglan Caravan Park is situated in the small peaceful oasis village of Ancroft, with views facing to the Cheviot Hills 5 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed. Very convenient for the A1 yet in a peaceful, easy to find location. The park is a new site and has a high standard with shower block, disabled facilities, and laundry room.From the 1st of October 2017 the property will require that all clients bring their own towels. We have 15 flat level pitches, some hard standing, with electrical hook ups. We are a Camping and Caravan Club Certificated site, open to members and able to accommodate up to 5 caravans or motor-homes and an additional 10 tents or trailer tents. Nearby attractions include Holy Island, Bamburgh Castle and Alnwick Castle amongst many others. Close by Ford and Etal Estate is excellent for exploring and also has a steam train and craft workshops. Pot a Doodle Do, just to the South of Berwick on the glinting shore of the Northumbrian coastline is a great day out for families. The golf club at Goswick is highly rated one of the best links course in the North. There are many opportunities for walking and cycling with quiet roads leading directly from the park and Cycle Route 1 a short distance away heading along the Northumberland Coast. Our separate bunkhouse is nearing completion and has its own facilities and kitchen. There is a bus service from Ancroft into Berwick. We are open all year round.
